Description

Design, develop, and optimize scalable data integration pipelines on Google Cloud using Data Fusion.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable orchestration templates in Google Cloud Data Fusion.
• Integrate data from on-premises, third-party, and cloud sources into GCP.
• Configure and optimize Apache Spark jobs and implement data quality frameworks with automated testing.
• Manage schema evolution, metadata, and lineage capture while monitoring pipeline performance.
• Integrate workflows with Cloud Composer and apply data governance standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years in data engineering or ETL development.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Data Fusion.
• Strong SQL and relational database expertise.
• Experience with Apache Spark (SQL, DataFrames, performance tuning).
• Working knowledge of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and data modeling.
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.

Preferred Skills

• GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer).
• IBM DataStage ETL tool knowledge.
