Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable Python-based APIs and microservices on Google Cloud Platform, owning the full lifecycle from development to deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize REST APIs using FastAPI and Flask, implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Build and manage BigQuery solutions for data processing, analytics, and reporting, including query optimization and partitioning.
• Create and maintain Airflow DAGs in GCP Composer for workflow orchestration and automation.
• Deploy containerized applications using Docker and integrate with GCP services like Bigtable and Cloud Storage.
• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry and ensure code quality through unit testing with PyTest.

Required Skills

• 3-8+ years of experience with Python programming and PEP8 standards.
• Strong expertise in API development using FastAPI, Flask, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services: BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud Storage, and Dataproc.
• Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery UDFs, joins, and query federation.
• Experience with GCP Composer (Apache Airflow) for DAG creation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker), CI/CD practices, and Git hooks.
• Understanding of API middleware, logging, tracing, and OpenTelemetry.
• At least one GCP foundational certification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Generative AI frameworks: Vertex AI, Gemini, and LangChain.
• Domain experience in Banking.
