Description

Build and maintain production data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform with a focus on HIPAA-compliant PHI handling.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using BigQuery, Apache Spark, and Dataflow.
• Implement HIPAA Security Rule compliance including field-level encryption, masking, and audit logging for PHI data at rest and in transit.
• Integrate Adobe Analytics data streams and manage external table patterns in BigQuery.
• Configure GCP CMEK for dataset protection and ensure BAA requirements are met.
• Support downstream consumers like Looker and Vertex AI ML pipelines.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering within a Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Proficiency in BigQuery, SQL, and Apache Spark (DataSpark).
• Experience with Vertex AI, Kafka, and Cloud Storage.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Proven expertise in handling PHI under HIPAA regulations, including de-identification techniques and access control policies.
• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Analytics integration.
• Knowledge of Click-Thru file formats and external table patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Looker for downstream data consumption.
• Knowledge of Vertex AI ML Pipelines.
