Job Overview: The Google Cloud Platform Product Owner Engineer will be responsible for managing the product backlog, driving Agile delivery, and ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical execution. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, defining user stories, tracking delivery progress, and communicating status updates and KPIs to leadership in a clear and business-friendly manner.

Requirement/Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or Agile product ownership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Composer.
• Experience with Agile delivery and running Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Harness or GitHub Actions.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.

Experience:

• Experience owning and managing product backlogs aligned with business and technical priorities.
• Experience defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
• Experience tracking sprint progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones.
• Experience providing leadership updates on KPIs, delivery progress, risks, and mitigations.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile-driven cloud or data engineering environments.

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the product backlog ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track sprint progress, dependencies, and risks to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on delivery progress, risks, mitigations, and KPIs.
• Translate technical updates into business-friendly communication.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure proactive communication of status updates.

Should Have:

• Strong presentation and executive communication skills.

Qualification And Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience accepted
