Description

Engineer and maintain data warehousing solutions on Google Cloud Platform and Teradata.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Teradata with GCP services including BigQuery and Dataflow.
• Design and maintain data models for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Deploy Teradata-based data warehousing solutions within Google Cloud Platform.
• Create and manage ETL pipelines using Informatica to transform data into the Teradata warehouse.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Teradata system performance.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with GCP and Teradata data warehousing systems.
• Strong proficiency in GCP, specifically BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
• Experience with workflow orchestration using Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Functions.
• Working knowledge of batch and event-based/streaming data ingestion technologies.
• Familiarity with data modelling and data warehouse design principles.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and practices.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Teradata systems.
• Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to containerization and Kubernetes.
