Required Skills

•      Review SIRS architecture and database landscape

•      Inventory the Neo4j graph schema — node labels, relationship types, constraints, indexes

•      Analyze graph data volumes and growth trends

•      Extract and catalog Cypher queries from application code repositories

•      Classify queries by CRUD, traversal, aggregation, shortest path, variable-length traversals, and analytical queries

•      Identify business-critical query patterns

•      Conduct stakeholder and developer interviews

•      Analyze Apache AGE support for identified Cypher patterns and map Neo4j capabilities to PostgreSQL + Apache AGE — MATCH patterns, path traversals, variable-length relationships, aggregations, graph creation/update operations

•      Identify unsupported functionality, define query rewrite requirements, and document potential design alternatives

•      Build the PostgreSQL + Apache AGE environment and migrate a sample graph dataset

•      Partner with the Architecture and Data teams to design and build the new graph schema in PostgreSQL + Apache AGE

•      Select representative high-value query workloads and convert them to Apache AGE equivalents

•      Execute functional validation testing and compare outputs against Neo4j results

•      Evaluate performance characteristics and document implementation effort and complexity

•      Consolidate discovery findings, evaluate migration readiness, and estimate migration complexity

•      Identify required application changes and assess the operational support model

•      Develop migration roadmap options and present findings to stakeholders for a Go/No-Go decision
