Description

You will administer the Greenplum infrastructure for the organization, including multiple development and test environments. Your role involves advanced support and cluster maintenance to ensure high data quality and availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and screen Greenplum capacity planning, administration, expansion, and installation of environment components.
• Troubleshoot scheduled analytics and provide advanced support for administrative tasks like user management, security, backups, and disk management.
• Collaborate with application teams to apply updates, patches, and version upgrades as required.
• Partner with infrastructure, network, database, and application teams to maintain cluster connectivity, security, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain documentation for installations, configurations, best practices, and performance monitoring routines.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Greenplum Database Administrator with deep understanding of Greenplum technology.
• Proven ability to add/remove nodes, track jobs, monitor critical cluster parts, schedule configurations, and manage backups.
• Strong experience in administration of Hadoop-based solutions, including architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) and enterprise-level Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to assess current technical infrastructure and provide performance monitoring and tuning of tools.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Strong technical leadership acumen with the ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external teams.
