Description

You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions, focusing on the Rating module and state-specific rollouts.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure GOSU application code, business rules, PCF configurations, and data models within Guidewire Studio.
• Translate functional specifications into technical designs, defining rating engine changes and integration solutions.
• Estimate effort for user story requirements and propose configuration strategies for implementation.
• Coordinate with service providers and integration owners to ensure application stability and resolve production issues.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers on Guidewire best practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on development experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, including one complete end-to-end implementation.
• Strong proficiency in GOSU programming, Guidewire APIs, and Rating module configuration.
• 5-7 years of experience developing multi-tier web applications using Java, J2EE, and Web Services.
• Deep experience integrating systems using SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSD, JAXRPC, JAXWS, and JAXB.
• Proficiency with SQL Server or DB2 databases and application servers like WebSphere, Tomcat, or JBOSS.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, version control (SVN), and release management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex application stacks and support production environments.

Preferred Skills

• Guidewire PolicyCenter professional certification.
• Experience with Java Web Services (JAX-WS) and JMS messaging frameworks.
