Description

You will develop and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter applications using Gosu and Java.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and unit test solutions using the Guidewire Rating Module.
• Translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation.
• Review offshore development work covering PCF Configuration, Business Rules, and Data Model Creation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and integration owners to ensure application operational stability.
• Propose configuration and integration solutions, estimating effort for User Stories.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of development experience specifically with Guidewire PolicyCenter and Gosu programming.
• 8+ years of experience developing multi-tier web-based applications using Java, J2EE, and SOA principles.
• Strong experience integrating systems using Web Services technologies (WSDL, SOAP, XML).
• Hands-on knowledge of Guidewire Configuration and/or Integration, including rating engine development.
• Proficiency with Java programming and J2EE application containers (e.g., WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, JBOSS).
• Experience with SQL Server or DB2 database environments.
• Familiarity with code versioning systems, specifically SVN.
• Experience operating in a Production support team and understanding the Onsite/Offshore model.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• REST API development experience.
