Description

You will manage and maintain large-scale Hadoop infrastructure and big data environments in St. Louis, MO.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Hadoop clusters, including adding or removing nodes using monitoring tools.
• Configure NameNode high availability and monitor all running Hadoop jobs to ensure uptime.
• Perform capacity planning and estimate storage requirements for HDFS to scale clusters effectively.
• Manage cluster connectivity, performance monitoring, log reviews, and backup/recovery tasks.
• Troubleshoot application errors and coordinate with database, network, and BI teams to ensure high availability.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Hadoop administration.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop infrastructure management.
• Experience with AWS Big Data services.
• Proficiency in HDFS capacity planning and resource management.
• Experience with cluster monitoring and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of security management and backup/recovery procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application and connectivity errors.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes container orchestration.
