Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale big data environments, including Hadoop clusters and containerized applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Hadoop clusters and storage environments.
• Design and implement technical solutions and architecture for new or re-engineered software and storage systems.
• Develop, test, and integrate code for complex software and implement test strategies.
• Prepare technical documentation, software specifications, and project status reports for leadership.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and assist with work assignments and training.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years with a Master's degree.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining Cloudera Data Hub and Cloudera Data Platform.
• Proficiency setting up Ranger, Atlas, Navigator, Yarn, Hive, Impala, and SOLR on Hadoop clusters.
• Experience with Databricks and Cloudera Cloud and Hybrid Cloud offerings.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Working knowledge of Linux Administration and VMWare virtualization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Background in containerized application management.
