Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale Hadoop ecosystems, lead migration initiatives, and ensure cluster stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute Hadoop migrations involving data transfer, configuration changes, and performance tuning.
• Manage cluster operations using Hortonworks, Cloudera, Cloudera Manager, or Ambari.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for Hadoop clusters.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues through root cause analysis and performance optimization.
• Automate data processing and administrative tasks using scripting and configuration management.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience working with Hadoop ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with Hortonworks and/or Cloudera platforms.
• Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting for automation.
• Strong technical knowledge of HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, and Kerberos.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Proficiency in RedHat Linux Administration.
• Knowledge of security protocols including Apache Ranger and TLS encryption.
• Understanding of network concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Python automation.
• Domain knowledge on 53 storage.
• Experience with Docker.
