Description

You will manage and maintain Hadoop environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and support Hadoop distributions including Cloudera CDP/CDH and Hortonworks HDP.
• Implement cluster security using Kerberos, SSL, and data-at-rest encryption.
• Manage core services such as YARN, HDFS, Zookeeper, Hive, Spark, and HBase.
• Automate infrastructure tasks and configuration management using shell, bash, or Python scripts.
• Troubleshoot data replication peers and ensure platform stability during 24x7 rotating shifts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Hadoop administration.
• Strong system administration knowledge of Unix internals (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Shell, Bash, Python.
• Experience deploying and managing Hadoop on AWS cloud native services.
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components: Ranger, Atlas, Zookeeper.
• Understanding of data auditing methods and data-in-transit encryption.
• Ability to collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and development teams.
