Description

You will own the reliability, maintenance, and performance of the Hadoop ecosystem and Data Lake environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer Cloudera technology, managing backup, recovery, architecture, and performance tuning.
• Deploy Hadoop clusters, configure NameNode high availability, and manage node scaling.
• Monitor cluster health, track jobs, and manage storage, performance, and volume.
• Execute data ingestion and movement using Sqoop and Flume.
• Install software, apply patches, and manage hardware/software upgrades for storage infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a Hadoop production environment.
• Expert knowledge of HDFS, Yarn, Hive, LLAP, Druid, Impala, Spark, Kafka, and HBase.
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera distributions and Cloudera Work Bench.
• Proficiency in Hadoop administration within Linux and virtual environments.
• Experience configuring Kerberos integration for Hadoop security.
• Strong background in Data Lake and Data Warehousing design and development.
• Ability to manage data movement via Sqoop.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
