Description

You will design, build, and architect big data databases and Hadoop applications to enable complex, high-speed queries.

Responsibilities

• Design and document Hadoop applications, including web services for high-speed data tracking and querying.
• Manage the end-to-end Hadoop lifecycle, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and security.
• Develop MapReduce coding and implement data management principles, models, and blueprints.
• Monitor Hadoop log files and test software prototypes before transferring them to operations.
• Act as a technical advisor to bridge requirements between Data Scientists, Engineers, and business needs.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in big data architecture and implementation.
• Expertise in the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hadoop Common and HDFS.
• Deep proficiency in Java, Hive, and HBase.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing.
• Experience with MapReduce, Pig, and Scala programming.
• Proficiency in OOP languages such as Python and C++.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop distribution platforms like Hortonworks, Cloudera, or MapR.
• Expertise in Apache Spark.
• Solid understanding of database theories, structures, and DBA best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within Agile methodologies for software delivery.
