Description

You will own the stability and uptime of Hadoop platforms, providing L2 support and 24/7 coverage during US hours. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the Austin office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Hadoop platforms to ensure stability and uptime.
• Debug platform and application-level issues.
• Automate manual tasks using Python or Ansible.
• Provide 24/7 support for the big data platform.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in big data administration.
• Strong debugging skills for Hadoop environments.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience with Ansible for task automation.
• Hadoop platform management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of HBase.
