Description

You will build analytical applications and manage big data processing using the Hadoop platform.

Responsibilities

• Build analytical applications using Hadoop, Hive, HBase, AtScale, Spark, Sqoop, and HDFS.
• Implement big data processing via MapReduce algorithms and Hadoop/Spark APIs.
• Develop workflows for predictive analysis, multi-dimensional analysis, and data enrichment.
• Support large enterprise applications within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Apply object-oriented design and development principles to data processing tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in big data development.
• Proficiency in Java and Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Hive, HBase, AtScale, Spark, Sqoop, and HDFS.
• Strong understanding of MapReduce, RDD, DataFrame, and DataSet APIs.
• Solid foundation in RDBMS data modeling and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design and Development using Java.
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or a related technology discipline.
