Description

You will develop and maintain big data use cases within the Hadoop ecosystem to support enterprise and cloud data management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Hadoop framework to ensure smooth functioning and prevent operational roadblocks.
• Develop big data applications using the Hadoop ecosystem and Cloudera tools.
• Iterate on product changes using Agile methodologies, including developing user stories and managing backlogs.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to support technical growth.
• Apply analytical problem-solving to large-scale distributed applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Big Data tools and technologies in a production environment.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HDFS, Hue, Git, MapReduce, and Sqoop.
• 2+ years of programming experience in Python or Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with Big Data development using Pig, Hive, and Cloudera tools.
• Knowledge of Hadoop architecture and the hardware ecosystem.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed applications.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloudera Hadoop distribution components and custom packages.
• Traditional Data Warehouse and ETL experience.
