Description

You will develop and maintain big data solutions using the Hadoop ecosystem to support enterprise data management and cloud-based products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth functioning of the Hadoop framework by resolving roadblocks and maintaining system stability.
• Develop large-scale distributed applications using Hadoop, Cloudera tools, and SQL-based technologies.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions for enterprise data protection.
• Apply Agile methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, manage backlogs, and define user stories.
• Mentor and coach junior team members while adapting to changing project priorities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Big Data tools in a production Hadoop environment.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, Hive, Impala, Oozie, HDFS, Hue, Git, MapReduce, and Sqoop.
• Deep understanding of Hadoop architecture and the hardware ecosystem.
• Experience with Cloudera Hadoop distribution components and custom packages.
• 2+ years of programming experience in Python or an Object-Oriented Programming language.
• Proven experience with Traditional Data Warehouse and ETL concepts.
• Ability to work under minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong leadership, communication, and thought leadership skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
