Description

You will design, develop, and maintain software applications within the Hadoop ecosystem to support business units.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and maintain software applications.
• Partner with internal and external resources to define and design solutions for business needs.
• Drive the design and development of components to solve complex technical problems.
• Test and support software applications throughout the development lifecycle.
• Communicate technical designs and updates clearly in written and verbal discussions.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in big data development.
• Extensive experience with Hadoop ecosystem components including Hive, HDFS, and Spark.
• Strong proficiency in PySpark (version 2.4 or higher).
• Hands-on experience with Impala and optimized view design.
• Knowledge of Bigtable design and HBase.
• Strong SQL skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of REST API and Autosys scheduler.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Programming familiarity with Python or Java.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Hive 3.0 (CDP platform).
• Scala programming experience.
• UI/UX development experience using React.
