Description

Lead DevOps and application support for the Strategic Data Platform, owning proactive monitoring, automated deployments, and release management across multiple tenants.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance tools for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and automated deployments to improve data availability.
• Deploy code changes to test and production environments using Ansible Tower.
• Drive DevOps automation to increase deployment efficiencies and automate repetitive tasks.
• Triage and fix deployment issues by collaborating with application and platform support teams.
• Onboard new applications onto existing CI/CD pipelines using Celestial, Tower, and XLR.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Ansible automation and DevOps engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop architecture including HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Ambari, Cloudera Manager, and Pepper Data.
• Proficiency in Shell and Python programming for automation.
• Strong expertise in Reliability Engineering, incident management, observability, and Root Cause Analysis.
• 2+ years of experience using CI/CD pipelines to deliver Infrastructure as Code.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, networking, and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with GIT, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and XLR.
• Proficiency with CI/CD toolchains and Agile tools like Jenkins.
• Experience managing large-scale environments (50 TB+) and coordinating between L1, L2, and L3 support levels.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with product release cycles and release management.
• Background in the financial services industry.
