Manage and tune large-scale, on-premises Hadoop clusters in Irving, TX.

Configure and tune Hadoop instances for optimal performance. Manage very large clusters and address scalability requirements. Support multiple teams by managing self-service capabilities. Troubleshoot complex issues across the Hadoop ecosystem and underlying infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Configure and tune Hadoop instances for optimal performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Hadoop environments.
• Deep understanding of Hadoop architecture (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce).
• Hands-on experience with cluster management tools like Ambari or Cloudera Manager.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and networking.
• Strong scripting skills for automation and task management.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience interfacing with multiple teams in a production environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing self-service capabilities for diverse engineering teams.
