Description

Provide L3 support for the Hadoop platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity across on-premises and GCP-integrated environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Hadoop platform issues to maintain system stability.
• Manage and maintain HDFS, ensuring data integrity and security standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to optimize data pipelines and ingestion processes.
• Integrate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud-based solutions with on-premises Hadoop infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes, workflows, and system configurations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and its architecture.
• Hands-on experience with L3 support and maintenance of Hadoop platforms.
• Proficiency in managing and optimizing data workflows within the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services.
• Experience with data ingestion tools and techniques.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or platform support.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
