Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing solutions using the Hadoop ecosystem.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable applications using Hadoop, Spark, and Python.
• Write clean, efficient code and maintain high-quality coding standards.
• Participate in technical design discussions and prepare detailed specifications.
• Review peer code, perform unit testing, and support production releases.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC processes and change management controls.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in big data technologies and analytics development.
• Strong proficiency in Hadoop and Spark for data processing.
• Expertise in Python and SQL, including stored procedures.
• Experience with AB Initio for data integration and processing.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficient with version control tools like Git.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts.
• Ability to estimate development effort and identify project risks.
