Description

You will manage technical activities for Hadoop to Cloudera migration and upgrade projects.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Hadoop to Cloudera upgrades while upgrading Java-based Spark applications.
  • Collaborate with Hadoop/Cloudera admin teams to deploy and troubleshoot applications across Production and Non-Production regions.
  • Analyze current Hadoop configurations to propose and implement equivalent settings in Cloudera.
  • Support QA teams by defining test case scenarios for the technology stack and Oozie job workflows.
  • Coordinate technical tasks across onsite and offshore teams.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Hadoop and Cloudera environments.
  • Proven experience with Hadoop to Cloudera migration projects.
  • Deep understanding of Hadoop and Cloudera architecture and workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Oozie.
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and SQL.
  • Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Practical application of Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Working knowledge of Agile processes and DevOps methodologies.
  • Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with Hadoop or Cloudera on-prem upgrades.
