Transition 3D model concepts into production-ready hardware for locomotive applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical subsystems including embedded DC/DC power supplies, digital/analog I/O, and microcontroller interfaces.
• Manage printed circuit board assembly and layout design.
• Own the Bill of Materials (BOM) for hardware components.
• Develop wiring harnesses, cabling, and electronics packaging.
• Implement serial communications protocols and modem integration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in hardware design or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing and testing electrical subsystems and system integration.
• Proficiency with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools.
• Experience with Cadence OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, or KiCAD.
• Knowledge of circuit design for embedded systems and serial communications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Altium Designer.
• Basic proficiency in C, C++, or C#.
