Description

Design and qualify embedded digital and analog high-speed mixed-signal communication circuits for disk drive and networking systems.

Responsibilities

• Write technical specifications and documentation to ensure products meet customer, manufacturing, and system design requirements.
• Participate in electrical design, development, testing, and qualification activities for high-speed communication systems.
• Conduct investigations into technical issues and report outcomes during critical project reviews.
• Manage hardware engineering activities to ensure projects are completed within specified time and cost constraints.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in electrical embedded hardware design for high-speed digital and analog communications.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and layout tools such as ORCAD, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or PCAD.
• Hands-on experience using digital test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Emulators, and Debuggers.
• Experience with embedded design, IP/Networking, voltage regulator power supplies, and disk drive data storage.
• Practical knowledge of Linux OS and scripting languages.
• Experience using Product Data Management tools like Team Center.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in avionics electrical design, development, and DO-160 qualification/documentation.
• Knowledge of embedded multicore systems and SSD, SATA, or NVMe technologies.
