Hardware Network Engineer

You will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical network infrastructure and server hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement computer networks, including LAN, WAN, and intranet architectures.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and workstations.
• Monitor network traffic to identify connectivity issues, security breaches, or performance bottlenecks.
• Manage data backup, recovery solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
• Execute software and firmware updates and conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Hardware Networking Specialist or in a similar role.
• Deep knowledge of LAN, WAN, and VPN technologies.
• Proficiency in network administration and engineering.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware components and networking protocols.
• Experience implementing network security practices and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• CCNA or CCNP certifications.
• Additional certifications in IT Hardware & Networking.
