You will ensure and improve the durability and reliability of new products throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Drive failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to ensure design integrity.
• Develop and implement reliability tests, procedures, and specifications for new hardware programs.
• Lead failure analysis to establish root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reliability test plans and reports while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Analyze experimental data and research technology to provide design direction to multi-functional teams.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in hardware reliability or a related field.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering.
• Deep understanding of mechanical assemblies and industry standards including JEDEC, ASTM, and IEEE.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical stress tests (shock, drop, vibration), environmental, and fatigue testing.
• Proficiency in failure analysis techniques: optical microscopy, x-ray/CT scans, SEM, FTIR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and EDS.
• Expertise in applying Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Statistical proficiency using Weibull++, JMP, and accelerated test models.
• Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Digital Image Correlation (DIC).
