Description

You will perform security assessments on telecommunications systems and hardware components.

Responsibilities

• Execute hardware hacking and debugging tasks on embedded devices and telecom infrastructure.
• Perform firmware extraction using man-in-the-middle network attacks, memory access attacks, and firmware upgrade attacks.
• Conduct firmware reverse engineering to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities.
• Carry out manual security assessments on PBX, VOIP, VPN, and wireless protocols including BLE, NFC, RFID, Zigbee, and LoRaWAN.
• Extract data from embedded device flash chips using soldering, desoldering, and NAND flash chip readers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in telecom security and hardware debugging.
• Proficiency with hardware debugging interfaces including JTAG, UART, USB, and Jtagulator.
• Experience with hardware hacking tools such as Facedancer and HackRF.
• Expertise in software debugging and analysis tools including Binary Ninja, GDB, and IDA Pro.
• Hands-on experience with security tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Practical knowledge of hardware-level attacks and component manipulation.
• Experience assessing wired and wireless communication protocols (PLC, Z-Wave, IoT).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with 5G, SD-WAN, and RAN security domains.
• Ability to automate tasks using Ruby, Python, Powershell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of mobile or embedded operating systems.
