Description

Develop and manage validation plans for vehicle hardware subsystems including closures, structures, and chassis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive validation plans and establish testing criteria using statistical analysis and attribute vs. variable testing.
• Manage external testing vendors by quoting, sourcing, and scheduling tests within program budgets and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing in collaboration with development engineers.
• Create CAD designs for validation-specific tools, including fixtures and applicators.
• Update validation plans based on new requirements or design controls from DFMEA reviews and manage certification compliance.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-5 years of experience designing and testing mechanical systems in the automotive or a related industry.
• Experience with strength, fatigue, and cyclic durability testing.
• Proficiency in validation planning, test methodology, and report management.
• Ability to conduct research and benchmarking for new system validation tests.
• Background in troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Jira software.
