Description

You will develop and manage validation plans for vehicle hardware subsystems, including Closures, Structures, and Chassis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop validation plans, defining sample sizes, statistical analysis methods, and attribute versus variable testing criteria.
• Collaborate with external vendors to quote, source, and schedule testing while managing program budgets and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues by working directly with development engineers.
• Design CAD models for validation-specific tools, fixtures, and applicators.
• Manage test reports and certification documentation to ensure compliance with group instructions.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing and testing mechanical systems within the automotive or related industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to conduct research and benchmarking for new system validation tests.
• Experience managing external test vendor reports and record retention policies.
• Capacity to own and improve test cost estimator tools for supplier reviews.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with strength, fatigue, and cyclic durability testing.
• Proficiency with Jira software.
