Description

You will lead data analysis initiatives and oversee the quality of data specifications and team deliverables within a healthcare context.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct other data analysts, providing coaching, mentorship, and work effort estimates.
• Own the analysis of complex data sources to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of data anomalies.
• Partner with stakeholders to define and document data requirements, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Develop best practices, guidelines, and standards for Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Integration.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear conclusions for management and business users.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant work experience, including 8+ years in data analysis and 6+ years in healthcare.
• Extremely strong SQL skills and proficiency in analyzing very large datasets.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare data formats such as X12, HL7, and NCPDP.
• Hands-on experience with DBMS physical implementation using Teradata, Oracle, Greenplum, or Vertica.
• Experience with NoSQL data stores including MongoDB, Neo4J, Cassandra, or Redis.
• Proficiency with query tools such as AQT or TOAD.
• Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and Big Data platforms like Hadoop.
• Expertise in metadata management processes including glossary, lineage, and mapping.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance processes, policies, and standards.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Actuarial Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Experience with Industry Data Models like ADRM, IBM IIW/HPDM, or Teradata Healthcare Data Model.
