Description

Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets to support clinical and public health surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Write code to perform deep analysis on large datasets involving millions of rows, including EMR and claims data.
• Operationalize technical specifications against live data environments.
• Apply informatics principles to healthcare, clinical, and population health applications.
• Apply knowledge of healthcare quality metrics and value-based payment metrics to data workflows.
• Navigate healthcare workflows and health information exchange concepts, including TEFCA standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python or R.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of database principles.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets (millions of rows) such as EMR and claims.
• Knowledge of clinical coding systems including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED, and LOINC.
• Understanding of informatics techniques for public health and population health surveillance.
• Experience working within a healthcare setting or with clinical data workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of FHIR APIs.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Data visualization skills using tools such as JavaScript.
