Description

Provide technical support to ensure end users effectively perform business tasks through proper computer operation.

Responsibilities

• Field incoming help requests via telephone and email, documenting user identification and issue details.
• Prioritize, schedule, and escalate technical problems to senior technicians when necessary.
• Track and document the entire problem-solving process, including all actions taken toward resolution.
• Perform hands-on desktop fixes, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals, and develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of help desk experience (or Associate Degree with 3 years of experience).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with software installation and configuration.
• Hands-on hardware installation and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience implementing file backups and configuring systems and applications.
• Strong customer service background in a help desk environment.
• High School diploma (with 5 years of experience) or Associate Degree (with 3 years of experience).

Preferred Skills

• Ability to create clear help sheets and FAQ lists for end users.
