Description

You will build and maintain clinical data interfaces and APIs for HL7 v2 and FHIR exchanges.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build interfaces for HL7 v2 messages and manage various message structures.
• Develop RESTful APIs for exchanging HL7 FHIR resources.
• Integrate with EHR/EMR systems via APIs for bidirectional clinical data exchange.
• Implement clinical solutions that integrate with HIEs and clinical data aggregators.
• Create interface mapping documentation and facilitate specification and testing processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data integration or interface engineering.
• Hands-on experience with HL7 v2 structures: ADT, ORU, ORM, MDM, VXU, RSP.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Deep knowledge of CCD and C-CDA structures and specifications.
• Understanding of HL7 v3 RIM objects.
• Experience building APIs, web services, and RESTful FHIR resources.
• Strong Java development experience using open-source libraries.
• Proficiency with XML and JSON formats.
• Knowledge of medical terminologies: LOINC, SNOMED, ICD10, HCPCS, RxNorm.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies.
