Description

You will administer and maintain High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) clusters.

Responsibilities

• Administer HPC and VDI clusters, including installing and configuring Linux operating systems.
• Manage user accounts for HPC onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain and create AMI images within AWS accounts.
• Support core HPC components and native platform services like EFPortal and CycleCloud.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex HPC environment issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive experience in HPC system administration, preferably in Redhat/CentOS Linux.
• Proficiency in Linux OS administration, including Redhat and Rocky Linux, and bash scripting.
• Strong knowledge of job scheduler tools such as Slurm or LSF.
• Hands-on experience setting up HPC compute clusters and PBS job schedulers.
• Experience with AWS services, including AWS Managed Active Directory and AWS CloudFormation templates.
• Familiarity with parallel file systems and storage solutions (e.g., Amazon FSx for Netapp and Lustre).
• Experience with Java and Python in an operational context.

Preferred Skills

• TS/SCI Clearance.
• Docker or Kubernetes experience.
