Description

You manage and optimize High Performance Computing (HPC) applications within containerized cloud environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud-based architectures involving CPU/GPU workloads, scalable storage, and high-bandwidth interconnects.
• Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters specifically for HPC workloads.
• Configure Linux operating systems and tune performance for CPU and GPU demands.
• Qualify and tune open source cloud-based technology stacks for high-performance computing needs.

Required Skills

• 6-10 years of experience in HPC systems and cloud computing technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux systems including SuSE, RedHat, Rocky, and Ubuntu.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Linux performance tuning for both CPU and GPU.
• Hands-on experience with gRPC, Kafka, ZeroMQ, Redis, and Ceph.
• Strong Linux networking and storage fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with remote boot technologies such as System-D, Net boot/PXE, and Linux HA.
• Proficiency in scripting with Ansible, Python, and Bash, and decent proficiency in C.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with HPC workload managers and schedulers like Slurm or PBS.
• Experience with configuration management utilities such as Salt, Chef, or Puppet.
