Description

You will manage and maintain Linux cluster hardware, HPC software applications, storage, and network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux cluster hardware and HPC software application suites.
• Administer hosting and management systems that enable HPC operations.
• Troubleshoot end-user issues related to HPC hardware and solver software applications.
• Evaluate and perform job performance and application testing.
• Implement new tools and methods to improve operations and service delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT administration.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Experience administering heterogeneous IT compute and storage infrastructure.
• Strong scripting capability in Python, PowerShell, or Shell/Bash.
• Experience with Azure and GitLab DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based computing resource deployment (Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of distributed/parallel file systems and storage appliances such as Isilon, NetApp, or Qumulo.
• Experience with HPC middleware including Bright Cluster Manager, Altair PBS Pro, SLURM, or Torque MOAB.
