You manage and maintain HPC environments on AWS, ensuring system stability, user access, and security.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HPC infrastructure on AWS and manage Linux/Windows remote desktop sessions.
• Administer user onboarding, file permissions, and user groups.
• Manage the HPC job scheduler (PBS) and handle software installation, configuration, patching, and security remediation.
• Handle software licensing services, including vendor communication and FlexLM compliant network license management.
• Triage and resolve tickets for defects, risks, vulnerabilities, and user requests.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Linux administration experience, including networking and storage systems.
• 4+ years of AWS services experience: EC2, EFS, EBS, S3, Route53, VPC, VPC Peering, and CloudFormation.
• 3+ years in automation, including building, testing, releasing, or monitoring tools.
• 2+ years of programming experience with Python, PowerShell, or C++.
• 2+ years managing SQL and NoSQL back-end databases on AWS.
• 1+ years with HPC systems and job schedulers such as Altair PBS, Slurm, or IBM LSF.
• 1+ years managing FlexLM compliant network license servers.
• Hands-on systems engineering experience.
