Description

You create and refine Instructions for Use (IFUs) and visual materials for drug delivery devices and combination products, ensuring regulatory compliance and usability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update IFU content, layouts, and line-art illustrations to meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity digital prototypes for design reviews and usability studies.
  • Build physical models of IFUs, cartons, and leaflets using hand prototyping methods like printing, trimming, folding, and binding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Human Factors, Engineering, Marketing, Legal) to define requirements.
  • Transition design explorations from multiple concepts into refined, production-level single design solutions.

Required Skills

  • 5-10 years of instructional design experience, specifically with IFUs.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Strong ability in rapid sketch illustration and digital line-art illustration (e.g., hands holding devices).
  • Background in medical, healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience with image editing and layout design for print.
  • Ability to manage multiple detail-oriented projects simultaneously.
  • Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s with 6 years of experience, or High school diploma/GED with 8 years of experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Human Factors Engineering (HFE) and usability study support.
