Description

You will support Instruction Design and Human Factors Engineering teams in creating instructional materials and Instructions for Use (IFUs) for combination products and drug delivery devices.

Responsibilities

• Create and update IFU content, graphics, layouts, and illustrations for new and existing medical devices.
• Develop low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity digital prototypes for design reviews.
• Build physical models of IFUs, cartons, and leaflets using hand prototyping and assembly methods like printing, folding, and binding.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Device Engineering, Marketing, Clinical, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs, to define instruction requirements.
• Organize and pack materials for usability studies and transition multiple design concepts into single, refined solutions.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of instruction design experience, specifically including IFUs.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Expertise in rapid sketch illustration and digital line-art illustration.
• Strong image editing skills.
• Background in medical, healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
• Ability to manage multiple detail-oriented projects simultaneously.
• Strong oral and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• A design portfolio is required for consideration.

Education Requirements

• Master's degree; OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience; OR Associate degree and 6 years of experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of experience.
