Description

Automate and harden Linux and Windows images to meet CIS standards while managing secure AMI distribution across AWS Organizations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated pipelines to create secure Amazon Machine Images (AMIs).
• Establish processes to share hardened AMIs across an AWS Organization.
• Use Chef for configuration management to maintain system integrity across environments.
• Define best practices for image hardening and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Optimize cloud-based operating systems and improve security posture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in OS engineering and automation.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Packer for Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong experience hardening Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Expertise in AMI automation and AWS Organization management.
• Hands-on experience with Chef for configuration management.
• Deep understanding of CIS (Center for Internet Security) standards.
• Experience building scalable solutions for image distribution.
