You will lead the design and delivery of integration platform functionalities using IBM API Connect and IBM IIB.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver integration functionalities using synchronous protocols including REST and SOAP with XSDs and JSON Schemas.
• Manage the full API lifecycle, including onboarding, management, and authentication/authorization.
• Apply SOA design patterns to build middleware systems, covering message routing, content enrichment, filtering, transformation, and error handling.
• Design and implement automated and manual test cases to support unit and system testing.
• Collaborate within an onshore-offshore delivery model to meet technical requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API integration and middleware development.
• Hands-on expertise with IBM API Connect and IBM IIB.
• Proficiency in API Management, including OAuth, JWT, SAML, and mTLS.
• Experience with Gateway Script and Swagger 2.0/3.0.
• Deep understanding of Open API standards and Web Services Interoperability (WS-*).
• Practical knowledge of GIT for version control.
• Experience implementing User Defined Procedures (UDP) in API Connect.
• Familiarity with integration design patterns and best practices.
• Background in energy and utilities B2C/B2B engagements.
