Description

You will build, maintain, and support APIs using IBM API Connect and DataPower.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support APIs using IBM API Connect, DataPower, Gateway Script, XSLT, OAuth2.0, and JWT.
• Manage security configurations including certificate management, cryptographic profiles, and SSL/TLS setups.
• Perform API installation, configuration, and version management for API Connect and DataPower (v2018, v10).
• Execute platform maintenance, including upgrades, fix packs, security patches, and Disaster Recovery procedures.
• Integrate APIs with backend services, databases, and third-party applications while troubleshooting integration issues.

Required Skills

• 2–3 years of experience with IBM API Connect and DataPower.
• Hands-on experience with Web Service Proxy (WSP), Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), and Firewall Services.
• Proficiency in DataPower logs, logging configuration, and SSL, AAA, Sign/Verify, and Encrypt/Decrypt setups.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth, OpenID, REST, and API security patterns.
• Experience managing symmetric, asymmetric, and hybrid cryptography, including .pem and .key file uploads.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and Linux/UNIX environments.
• Experience with DataPower administrative tasks including upgrades, reloads, and reboots.
• Understanding of API lifecycle, performance monitoring, and optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of OpenShift and Docker.
