Description

Design, develop, and support enterprise API and integration solutions using IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade REST and SOAP APIs, including product catalogs, developer portals, and governance standards using IBM API Connect.
• Configure and maintain Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy (WSP), and XML Firewall services on IBM DataPower appliances.
• Develop complex integration logic using GatewayScript, XSLT, and XPath to transform data between cloud-hosted, on-premises, and trading partner systems.
• Implement API security protocols including OAuth 2.0, JWT, Mutual TLS (mTLS), LDAP integration, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Lead production support, including root cause analysis (RCA), incident resolution, performance monitoring, and CI/CD automation for release management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower integration platforms.
• Strong proficiency in designing and securing REST and SOAP web services.
• Hands-on experience with XSLT, XPath, and GatewayScript for data transformation and integration logic.
• Deep understanding of API security standards: OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and SSL/TLS profile configuration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, environment promotion, and deployment planning.
• Knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and containerized workloads is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership on large-scale initiatives.
• Proven track record of creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
