Description

You will develop and maintain IBM iSeries applications using ILE COBOL and ILE CL, ensuring high-quality code and system stability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize iSeries applications using ILE COBOL, ILE CL, and DB2.
• Analyze functional requirements, perform requirement analysis, and estimate effort.
• Prepare detailed design documentation and prioritize work with business teams.
• Monitor assignments, report progress, and fix high-priority issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in iSeries (AS400) development.
• Strong expertise in ILE COBOL, ILE CL, and DB2/400.
• Proficiency in Embedded SQL, Display Files, Sub Files, and Printer Files.
• Knowledge of iSeries APIs, data queues, user queues, multithreading, and journaling.
• Experience with IBM iSeries file systems (Library based systems).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL and MQ Series.
• Familiarity with Query400.
