Description

Own the development, optimization, and production support of IBM DataStage ETL pipelines.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize IBM DataStage ETL jobs for performance and stability.
• Provide production support by rerunning failed jobs and performing data reconciliation.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and restart capabilities within ETL workflows.
• Conduct root cause analysis for ETL failures and data quality issues.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to resolve production issues and ensure data integrity.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and ETL development.
• Strong hands-on expertise with IBM DataStage (versions 8.x and 11.x).
• Proficient in Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c), SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Deep understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), ODS, and Data Mart architectures.
• Practical knowledge of ETL concepts including CDC, Incremental Loads, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
• Experience with ETL job performance tuning and Oracle query optimization.
• Basic to intermediate Unix/Linux Shell Scripting skills.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as Tidal or similar platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
