Description

Manage the integrity, availability, and performance of IBM DB2 LUW database systems while overseeing complex technology implementations. You will own the release pipeline, automate routine management tasks, and align database schemas with business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design DB schemas to align with business requirements and ensure legacy system synchronization.
• Implement and maintain daily and weekly jobs interacting with external interfaces.
• Manage database deployments, refreshes, and routine system management through automation.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders and cross-divisional personnel to define requirements and performance methodologies.
• Direct team members in compiling business requirements and executing project milestones.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in database administration or related systems engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Expertise in JBOSS Messaging and Spring-JMS connectivity.
• Proficiency with Python, Perl, PowerShell, and WMI.
• Experience with Ansible and Jenkins for automation and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Ruby and Node.js.

Preferred Skills

• Administration and SQL tuning of IBM DB2 LUW.
• IBM DB2 backup, restore, and disaster recovery design and deployment.
• Installation and maintenance of IBM DB2 LUW, including HADR with auto failover and Data Management Console.
