Description

Manage and support IBM Informix database environments to ensure stability, performance, and availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage IBM Informix installation, configuration, and daily maintenance, including log file reviews.
• Execute database backup, recovery, replication, and deployment procedures.
• Troubleshoot production problems, connectivity issues, and real-time performance bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for database tuning, data migration, and data manipulation.
• Optimize SQL queries and design database structures to improve system performance.

Required Skills

• 4-8 years of experience in database management.
• Direct experience with IBM Informix database administration.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and writing scripts for data manipulation.
• Experience with NoSQL and JSON data formats.
• Solid understanding of database design principles.
• Ability to perform database tuning using performance monitors.
• Experience with database scripting for automation and maintenance.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Data Warehouse tools.
• Experience with ETL tools.
